The plan is to hold the painting for ransom. The hope is to obtain €150,000,000 for the painting’s return. The theft is well-planned and intended to be nonviolent, but one of Cavallari’s partners brings a loaded gun to the cathedral. A guard is accidentally shot and killed. Terry Thorne is engaged by Dom Luis Chiaremonte (Iz) to negotiate the safe return of the painting.

[24/k1/c0] (3) Alice Bowman’s husband Peter has died. When some of her college-age son’s friends are arrested in North Korea, Alice contacts Terry and Dino for help. They now have their own K & R firm. They manage to rescue the kids. Terry and Alice resume where they left off romantically 20 years before and subsequently marry. After Terry’s marriage, Terry and Dino are involved in an operation in Beirut where they meet a Maltese/Palestinian assassin, Izzat Darwani (Luis Aragon Peralta Mizzi Chiaramonte) whom they come to admire. They become friends with him. Terry and Dino invite him to a summer retreat for their operatives in Banff. Izzat spends a night with one of their young operatives, Joanne OBrien. He sees her again 6 months later at Terry and Alice’s Christmas party. She asks him for a ride home. On the drive, she invites herself to spend Christmas with him. He takes her to Malta and spends 6 days with her. (The character of Izzat is based on various Nikolaj Coster-Waldau characters - especially Jamie from GOT, but also character in Headhunters. If this were a screen play Izzat Durwani AKA Luis Chiaramonte would be played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldeau. And Jo would be played by Anna Taylor-Joy.)

Their lives together and Dino and Terry's life with their 'Shop,' Global Risk Management and Protection Services (GRAMPS). Continues the story from after Terry and Dino free the kids in North Korea. They are asked by Downing Street to investigate a bombing in Lebanon. Two Global operatives are shot. One dies. A royal relative of one of Dino and Terry's partners disappears and a ransom note is sent. The two things may be related. A further complication is one of their operatives has been sleeping with an FBI agent but also romancing a Pakistani girl who was involved in a hijacking and got away. If I could hire the cast it would be Russel Crowe, Meg Ryan, Cameron Diaz or Jenifer Aniston, David Caruso. Guy Pearce or Nikolaj William Coster-Waldau as Izzat Darwaza Others to TBA.

Twenty years later, Terry sails, Dino follows the Miami Dolphins, plays chess, consults for a police department. Terry and Dino now do mostly administration. Some fieldwork. Have a plane. They say they visit their money in the Bahamas. Alice, a widow for 2 years, lives in Sunnyvale, California. She has one son, now in college. Some friends of Alice's son have been detained while on a tour in North Korea. Alice's son is not with them. The parents of the kids who were detained ask Alice about the men who rescued Peter. Is she still in contact with them? The parents want her to persuade Dino and Terry to come to California to meet with them. Alice flies to St. Augustine to talk to Dino and Terry. Cast? Of course Russell Crowe, Meg Ryan, David Caruso and I would add Cameron Diaz or Jenifer Aniston as Mac.
