Izuku had promised All Might that he would carry on his legacy as his successor, even after his mentor’s death. It had been more difficult without a quirk but Deku had decided long ago that nothing so small would stop him from achieving his dreams. Now that he had actually made it though, he thought he’d have a better idea of what to write for his acceptance speech...
