Summary
With the creation of Project Insight and the ability to launch five years later, the Winter Soldier was supposed to become obsolete. However, two unsurprising and one surprising individual aim to prevent Hydra from gaining power once more.
Sam Wilson meets Steve Rogers, who has become more suspicious of SHIELD and the people he works for. Steve decides to trust this new friend in the fight to unmask Hydra and take them down.
What no one expects is who the Winter Soldier actually is.
A rewrite of a fic published in 2021. Some things will be the same, some will change, which is why I deleted the old one and am now posting a new one.
This will follow the events of Captain America: Birth of the Winter Soldier and the A(BO)vengers. However, it is not necessary to have read other parts of the two series, but it may help to read Captain America: The Birth of the Winter Soldier for minor details that were covered. :)

His track record of being kicked out of dozens of schools and now being single and pregnant makes most colleges or temporary housing refuse him. Steve Rogers is a friend from his army days. Despite the age difference, of 16 years, Steve is the only alpha George has formed enough of a relationship with to trust with his son.
Steve has settled into his job as an art investor, he has the time and the funds. He knows what could happen to a young, pregnant omega in the wrong hands. He has nothing but good intentions. He only met Bucky once a few years prior and little was spoken between them. The more he begins to learn about the omega, the more he realises how deep the motives for his actions go.
