Of course Muggles don't become adults at 17, so the police officer who was staring at him as if that was supposed to mean something it would mean nothing. Draco felt his nails curl into his palm. He was stuck in some random muggle town, in the middle of a time crisis because apparently that ritual he was forced into wasn't just a simple transmutation ritual, it was a time ritual, and he's gone back almost what...fifty years? Hopefully he won't be dragged to Hogwarts for school (than again if the way that man was staring at him was any indication, he would be dragged forcibly to a muggle school instead...perhaps Hogwarts is preferable?) it was bad enough that he had apparently been dropped by a dead corpse, and now these idiots thought that he was an untimely victim of some cult.

My take on what would have changed if Tom Riddle was loved.
Isolde Lin is an original character who is a mixed-race half-blood witch in 1930s/40s Britain, navigating prejudice in both the Muggle and magical worlds. She wants to merge magic and science, specifically explore whether mechanics of the Cruciatus Curse could be used to cure Obliviscence (wizard Alzheimer’s) while falling in love with Tom.
This story isn’t a romance in the conventional sense; the romance is very slow burn wrapped in a psychological character study that looks at how intellect, ambition, and empathy collide inside the same world.
The tone leans more toward moral realism and introspection than action or smut, so expect layered dialogue, quiet tension, and a gradual build rather than quick payoffs.
