“Are you smoking.” Shayne grimaced. It wasn’t really a question. He might’ve needed to wear glasses, but he wasn’t blind. Rather, he was incredulous in believing she’d want to throw her life away like that.
He was also a bit frustrated that he’d been dragged into a conversation with her.
Angela didn’t know any better. Her expression shifted once she noticed his judgement. She tossed him an ugly, dirty look in return. “Uh. Yea? So, what?”

It was somehow the best she’s ever felt in a really long time. They were definitely gonna miss the rehearsal, and her phone was already dead to alarm anyone back at the resort that they were still seated at the canopy beach bed everyone had left them in about three hours ago.
