Tomo lets out a laugh, returning some warmth to Kazuha’s chest as he hears the sound. Somehow, no matter how long he takes to hear such a noise, his friend’s laugh always is soothing to him. It has been that way for years…and now, he supposes he must find another sound to soothe his mind. Yet Tomo stops, staring at Kazuha head on. “Can you do me a favor?”
“Hm? Yeah, I would be more than willing to.”
Kazuha doesn’t know what he will ask, but considering this is still his mind playing tricks on him, he supposes he can continue to play along. It feels like Tomo is here, and that is all that matters to him.
“Can you find someone who can wield my old vision?”
Kazuha pauses, that feeling of warmth turning into a chill. It’s almost as if his heart stops beating, his ears no longer picking up the stable sound of his own heartbeat. In fact, everything seems to be quiet at this moment. The trees no longer rustle in the wind, and the birds refuse to chirp. All he can hear is Tomo, all he can see is Tomo…he cannot escape Tomo…he cannot escape this question.
