  Summary

  It all starts backstage at The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 while Mona Jensen Nesmith waits in the wings for her turn to wow America with her musical skating act. A short, barely legal Brit makes a pass at her. She tells him, "Go to Hell." Her best friend Susie invites him to come to their hotel room after the show. Little does anyone in that room know, but these moments of indiscretion and betrayal spark a life-long feud.
