Summary
Vic Sage lay on the bed, sprawled and tangled in sheets, naked, and sore in places he hadn’t planned for. He considered, briefly, his…situation.
He’d come to Boone’s Crossing chasing a case. Seventeen missing people, records scrubbed clean. Clear signs of a cover up. All he’d wanted was answers.
But here he was, lying in a motel bed, listening to Bruce Wayne shower off the night.
His own words echoed back to him from their first kiss: “This is just physical. Obviously.”
Except he remembered the hand steady on his hip. The warm breath at his jaw. The smile Bruce tried to smother when Vic cracked a bad joke. The way he almost let out a whine when Bruce finally pulled away. And dammit when had he started calling him Bruce and not Wayne?
…Fuck.
He was going to have to eat his own words, wasn't he?

Summary
Paul Jenner is an Oklahoma State Trooper, young but already weary of the job’s hidden toll. One quiet morning, a routine traffic stop turns violent—and Paul’s life ends in an instant.
But death isn’t the end.
Paul wakes in a strange place caught between life and whatever comes next. A mysterious figure offers him a chance to return, but not to the world he knew. Instead, Paul is thrust into a city steeped in shadows and corruption, where justice is a word with no meaning and heroes might never come, only questions.
Haunted by his memories of fiction he barely cared for before and faced with unimaginable darkness, Paul must decide what kind of man he’s willing to become or die trying. Again.

She works with the resistance against Vic, and his twisted morals. She works under Vic as an investigative journalist during the day and puts on her own synthetic skin and anonymously becomes The ‘New’ Question at night.

October 3rd 9:45pm, rain beats down hard on Hub City as cameras survey the streets below. Jumbotrons throughout the city faintly spew an announcement from KBEL-TV, drowned out mostly by the frenzy of drops. Down a desolate alley, one of the few places without a camera a manhole rises enough to slide to the side.
Someone with a fedora slowly raises themselves from the hole, rain drooping the rim of their hat. They look back and forth making sure the coast is clear. Getting out we see more of them. They’re wearing a dark blue trench with long frizzy hair pulled back into a ponytail.
