Summary
Asha, a newly turned 18-year-old girl living in the kingdom of Rosas, is the apprentice of their beloved King Magnifico and an aspiring sorceress. This beloved Kingdom has what most people like to call a wishing system. Citizens who have just turned 18 or are already 18 and older give their greatest desire to the king and a chance for that desire to be granted. This time, it's Asha’s turn to give up her wish: master magic and become like the man she idolizes, but it unexpectedly ends in disaster. A distressed Asha, remembering the words of her late grandfather about turning to the stars for help, makes a plea to the wishing star above. It comes down in the form of a playful and mischievous Starboy eager to fulfill her wish. Initially distrusting him, Asha slowly uncovers the king's lies and the flaws in the so-called effective wishing system.

Until the King resorts to using what he promised to protect in the hope to finally achieve his goals, and Queen Anastasia does nothing, leaving Asha at a loss.
She knows the story of Wishing Stars, a faded tale from days of old. In her moment of desperation, Asha makes a wish, a wish for her to ensure a safe future for her home. And it is answered.
But by calling upon this mystical being, Asha has just achieved what Manus has been trying to for many years, and he has proved he will do anything to gain the power of the stars. And with Anastasia at his side, there is little that stands in his way of doing so.

Desperate to reclaim the king's favor, Asha endeavors to win an apprenticeship under his tutelage. But when she finds her skills lacking, she turns to the stars for help.
Sure, Sol has made a few mistakes. You know, the usual kinds of things...like starting a few wars, ending an empire or two, burning down the Library of Alexandria....ok, a lot of mistakes. But now he has the chance to change all that! On a quest to track down the missing Queen Cassiopeia, he crosses paths with a girl from Rosas. And he can't resist granting her wish.

A Wish complete rewrite, bringing back some of the ideas they had scrapped and adding some of my own.
This is a love letter to everything Disney has meant to me growing up and even to everything that it means to me now as an adult, but also an angry rant at all the potential it's currently squandering.
There were good ideas in this movie, some of them didn't even make it into the final cut, and I think we can all agree all of us deserved better from the 100th year anniversary of such an important company that's influenced all of our lives and the lives of our parents, and for some of you even your children.
So I'm rewriting it. I'm not a professional writer, and I don't want to attack in any way the people who worked on this movie, this is simply something I need to do for myself, and I hope you'll enjoy it too.
