Summary
Aspen Harbors has always been invisible. She's the quiet, art-loving, socially awkward girl who struggles with anxiety, depression, and autism. One of 2.4 billion people on the planet without superpowers, she's overlooked, a speck of rough amongst billions of glittering diamonds. After graduating high school, she works as a barista in a low-income area, and her life becomes a walking cliche. She's a financially-challenged twenty-two-year-old with a high school diploma, an absent father, a meth addict for a mother, and a job that pays slightly more than minimum wage. Aspen's life is far from exciting, and she has no expectations of it getting any better.
