And so every decision he made was done with his people in mind and not based on his own wants and desires. What he wanted wasn’t allowed to matter. A prince was raised with this knowledge. It was a simple fact of his life. A prince was forever striding towards an impossible goal of perfection. Never allowed to truly be who he wanted to be. No matter how much he might love his kingdom, a piece of him would always long for the freedom to follow a path he chose.
