Summary
This close, Anders could see that it was indeed a person hidden underneath the dirty rags. He was curled into himself, leaning against the wall as rags hid the shape of his body. The few toes that stuck out were caked in mud, while a lock of grimy white hair protruded from a filthy cap smeared with dirt.
Hawke's dead, and Fenris is the prime suspect. Such things have historically never gone well - never, that is, until Anders finds him.

"I just hope this time you’ll reply to my message and come home. I know you will."
Being older doesn't mean you're any wiser. It just means you have more baggage.
Ten years later, a world-hardened musician and a suburban dad connect again and old feelings resurface. It's not perfect, there's still prejudice and old ghosts everywhere. But sometimes you have to admit, being alone is so much worse than being with someone.
Until you realize by being together you're only hurting the person you love.

Summary
What was Kirkwall going to do with five Hawke siblings roaming the city? Two had been bad enough, but no, this time it was five. Aryia, Garrett, Carver, Bethany and Sarai had all made it to Kirkwall with their mother and mabrai, and now were clawing their way out of the dirt to give their family a better life. Will they manage it successfully, or will the family fall apart to old and new wounds?
(Basically I picked all my Hawkes. Mage, Warrior and Rogue, and Purple, Blue and Red. Why choose one when you can have all playthroughs?)

Summary
Everyone knows the story of the Champion of Kirkwall - Aedan Cousland, who fled the massacre of his family by Rendon Howe and settled himself in the city during the Blight. Who pulled himself up from friendless refugee to noble, to hero. A family man, dedicated to the Chantry, who killed the Arishok and tried to keep the peace in the subsequent years as tension threatened to pull the city apart.
But fewer people have heard the story of the Protector of Lowtown. Another Ferelden refugee, in the shadow of Cousland, who risked his life and freedom to stand before the Qunari during their invasion, who worked with the Mage Underground to protect innocents caught in Meredith’s growing paranoia and tyranny.
Their paths crossed, many times. But as Cousland’s star rose, Hawke’s did not. And when Anders attacked the Chantry, they found themselves on opposite sides. What happened then, changed the course of history.

Summary
At the height of the Inquisition’s rise to power, Alec Trevelyan made a choice that solidified his position as a Defender of the Faith - and his position as no friend to mages.
Hawke, the victim of that choice, has spent the intervening years consolidating the city of Kirkwall as a haven for those who do not wish to submit again to the Templar Order. His detractors accuse him of emulating the Imperium, his supporters point to the city flourishing for the first time in decades. The Chantry gnashes its teeth and threatens an Exalted March, when there is no appetite for another war.
Then a letter comes from Ferelden - an invitation, and the promise of protection, for Hawke to attend the Exalted Council, forming to strip the Inquisition of its power. It might be a trap, it might be entirely inadvisable, but it’s the moment Hawke’s been waiting for - if he can bring himself to face the Inquisitor again.

Summary
Hawke swallowed.
And if I make a deal? Will you help stop Meredith?
Laughter filled his head, a sound that sent electricity crackling down his spine. Maker, what was he doing?
I will do so much more than that, Champion.
Knight-Commander Meredith almost won the Battle of Kirkwall - and would have done so, if a desperate, broken Hawke hadn’t resorted to blood magic and a pact with a pride demon.
Crossing that line won the day, but Hawke lost everything. Hounded by Templars and friends alike, he retreated to the Wounded Coast as a wanted man. There, alone and hurting, he tried to resist the call of the demon inside him.
But it already had him in its web, and it is only a matter of time before the Champion of Kirkwall is something else entirely.

Resurrected from the depths of FF.net and ancient Ao3!
Part One of Mages and Lovers, events from the timeline of Dragon Age:Origins and Awakening (9:30-9:31 Dragon). Protagonists from later series’ will make appearances.
Temene Surana, a newly Harrowed elven mage finds herself thrust into a completely new life when she is recruited into the Grey Wardens as the Fifth Blight begins. She meets a kindred spirit in the Wardens, Alistair, whose sheltered and lonely upbringing is much like her own. They fall in love as they try to find allies to keep the country of Ferelden from being consumed by the darkspawn, but there is no promise of a happy ending for the pair even if they can manage to end the Blight.
At the same time, Lene Hawke, an apostate mage from the small village of Lothering finds herself on the run with her family, fleeing the aforementioned Blight. By chance or perhaps intentional fate, they meet a powerful ally who helps them escape across the sea to the Free Marches city of Kirkwall. Things in the City of Chains are little better for the lovelorn redhead, as she is forced into indentured servitude to pay off her families entrance into the city.

Summary
Duncan returns to Ostagar with a new recruit, a young man from Lothering, spared from the hangman's noose after he helped his apostate siblings escape the Chantry and Templars. Carver Hawke has always longed for a purpose, and a cause worth fighting for. What better way to carve his name into the annals of history, than by becoming a legendary Grey Warden and helping Ferelden win the battle against the Blight right there at Ostagar.
Of course...it doesn't really go to plan.
(AU where Carver Hawke is recruited as the Warden and a great many things change. Romances undecided for now...open to suggestions!)

Summary
Holy Havard's Hospital is an acute care hospital in Kirkwall's busy Lowtown district run by Benediction Health Care, an Orlesian Chantry faith-based care provider. Holy Havard's is open to patients regardless of their faith and is home to many medical and surgical programs, and Southern Thedas’ largest Spirit Healing fellowship. The hospital's busy emergency room is open 24/7 and is a Level 1 Magical Trauma response centre. Under the leadership of Head Physician Dr. Wynne Langford, the emergency medical team tirelessly works to care for the people of Lowtown, as well as the often underserved population of Darktown, in an endless series of events, magical, mundane, and tragic; as well as interpersonal drama that would make for a truly excellent multi-season television series.
But this fic isn't about them.
This is about a member of the hospital's housekeeping team deciding that he is going to take that hot blond mage-physician that has been haunting his fantasies and give him a taste of his own medicine.

‘I could bear it,’ he rasped.
‘Could you?’
He shook his head, looking down at his markings.‘You didn’t have to do it. It’s useless. How much will I get from it? Hours? Minutes?’
‘Fenris,’ Hawke whispered. ‘We’re going to fix it.’
He lifted his gaze, searching her face fo an answer before he dared to ask, ‘At what cost?’
At any cost, she thought.
After the battle of Kirkwall, Hawke tries to patch up her life, and she succeeds. For a while.

Summary
Isabela sputtered, almost spitting out her drink. “Fenris is getting LAID?”
Anders rolled his eyes, since she obviously missed the point. “Somehow I doubt that. He was probably just making noise to mess with me…”
In a world where Kirkwall exists in Modern Thedas, and where the Kirkwall crew all live in apartments in the same building, Anders has been having trouble sleeping. Unfortunately his friends care more about the implications of the noise in Fenris' apartment that's keeping him up, more than they care about helping Anders.

Summary
There is nothing more annoying than a Tevinter magister with magic they're not supposed to have. Especially when they end up tearing a hole in reality, ripping strangers from another world, and dropping them at Hawke's feet.
Reagan already has trouble processing the world she knew. Now she ends up in an entirely new one, and the first introduction she has to it is a whole lot of dead bodies. Then she's informed that all the wonderful things of Earth - cell phones, plumbing, anti-depressents - are not a thing here. At least, Hawke's got a personality that leaves that aftertaste of ozone, the way Fenris likes to pretend he doesn't care is cute enough to be entertaining, and Anders reminds her of a skittish kitten.
At the very least, the smell of the rain isn't all that different here. -

Cullen finds himself back in Kirkwall once again, and struggles with several things - how to stop Meredith's mad rampage, how to get out from under the choking grip of his lyrium leash, and how to make sure Hawke doesn't get his sodding arse caught or killed before he can become Champion again.
A sort of fix-it fic, where some things go better but most stay the same, because this is Kirkwall here.

Despite Danarius' treatment, Ariana shows resilience and kindness while casting aside traditional roles between slave and master. As their mutual desires grow, Fenris and Ariana must decide whether to ignore their feelings or submit and have an affair under one of the Imperium's most violent Magisters.
This work has a brutal depiction of Danarius and his treatment of his slaves. He is an evil man and will be written as such.
