Summary
Four years after Bilbo saw Thorin die, he gets an invitation to Kíli's wedding. Initially reluctant, he makes the long journey, accompanied by Gandalf and Elrond, among others. Only when they are halfway through Mirkwood do Hobbit and wizard realize the horrible misunderstanding all of them have lived under since the Battle of the Five Armies. Realising Thorin is alive, Bilbo races to Erebor.

I'm not good at summaries. Basically I needed another Thorin/OFC fic, so here were are. This is not the sweet, fluffy Thorin I’ve written previously.
Please read the tags. Lots of violence, domestic and possible sexual in the beginning, and some possible later on. It does get better. Thorin is not himself. Hopefully he’ll come to his senses.

Summary
Billa Baggins had taken after her mother in more ways than one, though her perchance for adventure had certainly made her and outsider within the Shire. Dubbed Mad Baggins by the greater population of the Shire the 36-year-old Hobbit-lass was more than happy when Gandalf the Grey came a' knocking to spirit her away on a quest to take back the Home of Durin’s Folk from the Dragon Smaug. Through trials and tribulations, the Quest ended with Erebor retaken and Thorin Oakenshield Crowned King. As the rebuilding starts Billa is swept up in political intrigue and Assassination Attempts all while trying to keep her feelings for the younger prince a secret. Though when the subject of an arranged marriage crops up and Kíli comes running to her to fix it, what is a Hobbit-lass to do? Propose of course.
Story starts from the beginning of the Quest for Erebor, and continues on after the Battle of Five Armies.

Looking into those eyes again was like plunging into arctic cold water. Bilbo had to stop himself from making an audible gasp. He felt his mouth dry, and a dull ache surface as a deep voice spoke with a controlled and cold demeanor. “You must be the burglar.”

Bilbo Baggins dies and goes peacefully into Yavanna's gardens. Bilbo Baggins dies protecting his king from a mortal blow and goes peacefully into Yavanna's gardens.
Finally one day, Yavanna had enough.
Bilbo Baggins would bring the change. And Yavvanna would do everything in her power to make it happen. Her children would thrive once more.
And for just a moment, Thorin felt the body under him breathe.
“Bilbo! Hold on.”
