Summary
The orphaned Donna Beneviento discovers something her deceased father made for her: the beginnings of a doll. To her surprise, she learns that the doll, whom she names Angie, is animated and treats her as if she was a real girl. However, despite Angie being a doll, she shows signs of being quite mischievous, resulting in her getting in multiple misadventures. She soon learns that such is not good and that good behavior will make it more likely for her to become human, which is what she and Donna wish for her to be. The question is, will she get the chance to?
