Summary
After he and his son, Robyn, were nearly captured by Roderick Burgess, Hob has lived a very cautious life, never truly settling again, or putting down roots. But far, far away from where he'd lost his Eleanor, for Robyn's sake, he finds a town safe to settle in.
He isn't expecting Dream of clan Endless, who smells like Burgess for a reason he does not understand, and his son, to suddenly appear on his land one day, as though they belong there. Hob promises to protect his son, just like Eleanor had done for them, but as it turns out...
That might not have been necessary. And maybe, just maybe, they weren't the only ones running from a demon named Burgess.
