After Cuphead is shot in the head in front of everyone accidentally by Mugman. Bendy, left witness to the horror, finds a small shiny heart with a straw halo on top of it. Bendy, with much curiosity, gets close to this soul. But in the moment of Mugman realizing this horror, Bendy takes the soul and runs away with Boris to escape. Bendy didn't know what he had done to deserve his misery. All he ever asked for was to get away from his crappy job at Pete's and lead a peaceful life with his brother Boris. But Bendy's time is running short, and as his life with the deadly ink disease worsens, hope has become a foreign concept to him. However, when a mysterious angel comes and claims to be his sister, she tells him they've been chosen to restart the magical ink machine, and save the creator, the most powerful toon in all of toon world. If they can find the machine in time, together they can cure the ink disease, and Bendy will finally be free. But as they begin, Bendy can't help but shake off the feeling that their mission is much bigger than just curing the ink disease. Are they really heroes, or is there something someone isn't telling them about this quest? With his siblings by his side, the help of two mysterious cup brothers, and his idol, Bendy embarks on the quest of his life, tackles family and romance, all to figure out the reality of who he really is.
