Summary
A year has gone by. Saoirse is now 8 while her older bother has just turned 12. Their father has aged as well though through their eyes he looks the same. Granny has also aged. Her temper has settled into a boil and her memories no longer work as it used to. Conor is still living with his grief. As both his kids age he finds himself seeing there mother more and more in the both of them. Ben also has his slight shame. Even after a year he still feels guilty for how he treated his sister. And Saoirse, well she has a own guilt. The guilt of her mother. What would have happened if she did go with her mother? A mother who she has only ever met once. Also Cú. Well he is being Cú.
Then one day a hum can be heard from outside of the lighthouse. It is a hum that makes Ben, Saoirse and her own father rush out the door. And why do the orbs of light reappear as well? What has happened?

Magic.
Conor remembered this feeling from his childhood. Legends of old were alive in these lands; every stone had a face, every blade of grass had a voice, and the waves had a rhythm to them similar to a dance. He wouldn’t be surprised if the seals, he saw lounging on the beach, shed their coats, turned into the fairy folk and started to sing.
A pre-canon story of how Conor came to live on the island and how he and Bronagh met.
