This Trek/ The Thick of It crossover imagines foul-mouthed spin doctor Malcolm Tucker in the Star Trek Universe doing the same job for the Federation. 'Contains Strong Language' kind of goes without saying!

The title says it all. A look at the moments between the things we see on screen. Not all of them, but the key ones. This was supposed to be quick and easy--a way to give Spock a story after Kirk got two. And then I would move on to other non-fanfic things. But no. This is going all the way through the movies.
Which is okay because I've intended to do this since the show started. How does what we've seen change the things in TOS? Or doesn't. I just didn't intend to do it right this moment LOL
I'll add character tags as we go.
And we're tracking canon here.
For those who like angst, this has it.

For those who knew him best, the decision to honor his legacy is a simple one. The ramifications, on the other hand, stretch far into the future.

Over the years, multiple actors have played multiple characters in Star Trek. Of course it's a coincidence. Or are there connections we don't know about?

Summary
Sent to Nimbus III on an errand of doomed diplomacy, Sarek has a chance encounter with a Klingon, Councilor Gorkon. Before he can get very far in negotiations, however, Sarek is forced to return to Vulcan upon the unexpected death of his son by Khan's hands.
As he struggles to understand the moral implications of the Genesis Project, Gorkon decides to accompany Sarek and Amanda back to Vulcan for his own mysterious reasons -- even as the Klingon Empire prepares for war.
And then of course there is Curzon Dax -- a young man coming to Vulcan in the midst of an identity crisis. Paradoxically he is old enough to remember 150 years worth of one Vulcan family's history, and unlike Sarek and Amanda, he doesn't feel especially bound by Vulcan cultural taboos to keep his mouth shut.
During their strange time together, Gorkon's unexpected wisdom leads to some revelations concerning Sarek's relationship with Spock and his opinions of Spock's bondmate, and helps guide Sarek's actions as Sarek makes plans to visit Jim on Earth.

Summary
2286 - The HMS Bounty crew has saved the Earth, but has returned to a planet in crisis mode. The weather has cleared, but the aftermath is still being addressed. Rescue efforts and planet-wide remediation take precedence over gratitude and ‘welcome-homes’ in the hours and days before Kirk, McCoy, Scott, Uhura, Sulu, and Chekov face the charges against them at the court-martial.

So what would life be like for Valeris and Admiral Cartwright at Rura Penthe? (This was a draft that didn't make it into one of the Strange New Worlds anthologies. I thought new content might be a good thing right now.)

Part Six of my series of vignettes focusing on side characters in the Trek films. For the Undiscovered Country, I went with the Federation President (because Kurtwood Smith!) because he seemed to have a lot going on that he didn't say or reveal through his actions. The scenes with him are so interesting because he's surrounded by people who are slipping into warmonger territory, and he seems to be the only one (aside from Sarek) who either doesn't want war, or doesn't have an ulterior motive. Plus, we don't get a ton of info on how the Federation government works. I got his name from the expanded universe novels.

Some storms come on suddenly. Some build up over time. (I could have sworn I posted this here, but I can't find it. It's older, but one of my favorite Kirk/Chapels.) The title is from "I'll Be Thunder," a song Tina Turner does exquisitely well--you can find it on youtube.

Summary
They've known each other for a long time, liked each other tremendously, but never stopped to really see what was right in front of them. Now, when they are both older, can they stop chasing the rush long enough to realize a kindred soul might be reaching back?
(The first chapter of this was one of my entries for Pocket Books' Strange New Worlds. It didn't get selected--possibly too shippy, even though the first part is tame--but I loved it and ended up writing a few additional (much sexier) chapters that I shared with a few friends. I don't usually post up my old SNW stuff but this one took on a life of its own and I loved where it went. Maybe someday I'll keep going on it, so for now, I'll leave it as a WIP rather than complete. But I make no promises that there'll be more.)

Kirk wanted something fun and romantic after "Doomed to Repeat." Also he wanted to not be a dick. I don't ignore him when he's pissed off at me. This is much more my normal style, so those who didn't like DTR, it's safe to come back in the Kirk/Chapel water.

Blame Rob Thomas for this. His song "Paper Dolls" is a favorite and it made me think of doing this. I've written enough fics, I hope, that show my true love of Sarek and Amanda, that you'll indulge me for this very messy story. Because there are some inherent problems with a Vulcan/Human relationship. And we mostly turn a blind eye. (Nothing non-consensual here--this isn't about abuse.)
This is long--a novella, really, I just wrote it (so it's not something I'm merely archiving here), and you're the first to read it. Enjoy. (When you're not cringing.)
If you're a diehard Sarek/Amanda shipper and hate the thought of anything else, best skip this.

They of all people know the danger of reopening old wounds. This is a little different spin on the events around the second through fourth movies, but still following canon. I manage to intersperse a lot of Kirk/Chapel naughtiness with a treatise on leadership. If I had to pin down a favorite story of the many I've done for Trek, this would be on the short list.

I don't like what the powers that be did with Kirk in Generations, but it's canon I guess so I'm going to work with it. How did Kirk meet Antonia--and why'd he leave her? And what did Chapel have to do with any of it?

Summary
"Twisted" was written for the Christine Chapel Fanfiction Fest. The challenge was to have Chapel switch bodies with someone as the result of a transporter accident. It could have been humorous and fun, so of course my muse took a darker road instead. "Warped" is a sequel that takes place during the STVI:TUC timeframe.
