It's been a year since Horde Prime was defeated, and life is good, for once. Peaceful. Adora and Catra are navigating their relationship with minimal bumps in the road, Bow and Glimmer are as cute as ever, and they've made great progress in restoring magic to the Known Universe. Everything's working out.
So, when a being, claiming to be Mara, takes them and forces them to watch a show, they're a little confused. But it turns out they've still got a lot to work through, and perhaps watching this "She-Ra and the Princesses of Power" could help with that.

When Gi-hun awoke in a room full of strangers and was asked to watch his life play out in HD while everyone got to glimpse every failure and every horror he'd endured, he was surprisingly fine with that.
Turns out, Seong Gi-hun is fine with everything, if it means saving lives even if they do not mean anything to him (yet).
As it is, he can only pray that he doesn't mess up too much in the (apparently very real) future that plays out. (By the end of the first episode, embarassment will be the least of Gi-hun's worries.)
