Summary
Post-musical headcanon, right after the final scene.
As soon as Eglantine stops the motorbike, she and her four passengers take a moment and look at each other a little differently. They don’t know what to say. They’re fooling no one. They know. And more than ever, they’re overjoyed to finally be together for good–except–Charlie has his doubts on whether their happy ending is here to stay. A direct follow-up to the story “The Last Ditch Effort.”
NOTE: You might want to read “The Last Ditch Effort” before reading this one as it correlates to a theory. Otherwise, treat this as an AU

Summary
What starts off as a regular day in the lives of Eglantine and the children quickly shifts into a discussion of what will happen to the children once the war is over, and whether they will stay with her or return to London. With Eglantine fearing the children will leave her, and her anxiety through the roof, she is then forced to ask them a question that can no longer wait. She only wishes that Emelius, off at war, were around to hold her hand throughout all of this.

A chance, accidental meeting and mishap at the general store turns into the many times Eglantine Price and Emelius Browne catch each other’s eyes—AND each other from falling off the side of the store shelves. Ever since they first laid eyes on each other, they just can’t seem to avoid one another. Even Charlie, Carrie, and Paul wouldn’t let that happen. What does this all mean? They just may be bewitched, bothered, and bewildered…or just a little scared, and neither one prepare.
Contains some spoilers for the NEW UK Musical version.

Summary
Just when Eglantine, Emelius, and the children thought the enchanted battle finally reached its victory, abruptly emerging from the looming shadows were the very soldiers they thought had been defeated, their guns aimed at the adults and their grasp firmly against the children. All while Eglantine watches this unfold, she evokes a do-or-die, split-second bit of magic to save the lives of the children she grew to love. Only afterwards does she realize that with the decision she made, the trajectory of their fate rests on her shoulders, even if it means it was a decision she may live to regret.
Based on the UK stage musical. Includes SPOILERS - based on a theory
Trigger warning: PTSD and references of war violence
NOTE: An Eglantine-centric character study filled with angst, inner-conflict, but a happy ending

Summary
Just as the children, Eglantine, and Emelius are eager and more-than-ready to take the next steps in their new-found family life together, Mrs. Hobday stops by with an unexpected letter for the children that shakes Eglantine--and her heart--to the core that could change everything for the rest of their lives.
Based off of the musical-verse, but can also be read with the movie-verse in mind.
Warning: Although it contains tons of family fluff and a happy ending, it contains terribly heavy angst in the middle chapters that was difficult to get through while writing. You’ve been warned.

MAJOR SPOILERS for the NEW UK Musical version. You've been warned.
Before she knew it, Eglantine Price caught herself in a surge of warmth she didn’t expect the instant the Rawlins children launched themselves into her arms, all misty-eyed and clinging to her tightly for dear life. Somehow, it felt just as right to hold them just as tightly anyway. The tears stinging in her eyes told her it felt more than right. All while oblivious to the world around them, she knew deep down it was a step in the right direction.

Summary
In which it takes some more time for Eglantine and Emelius to find each other, and themselves. It may not be the easiest thing when you're a practical witch who always preferred usefulness to emotions, and a magician with an inferiority complex and a tendency to always run for the door. Fortunately, the children are there, and they are a force to be reckoned with.
Oh, and there's still a war to stop: the year is 1941, and it is high time everyone remembers they can use magic.
Mostly a slow-burn, but also a take on how you build a family and happily divert History's course (and in that respect also carelessly uchronic). And really just my silly love letter to Angela Lansbury. -
