Summary
Three 'clever idiots' with a Blood-Hound taste for horror media and true crime buy a sketchy, long-abandoned fixer-upper mansion in the middle of Northern England woodland due to a low cost and isolation.
They soon find out that the creepy, passive-aggressive locals in the closest small village are the least of their problems when the new tennants discover secret passages not on their new abode's blueprints, a guest goes missing during their first social hosting, and each of the trio begin to experience odd occurrences which can not be explained away by science or rationality.
To boot, somehow, Cory, Rue and Len have also somehow unwittingly given the local group of outcasts - an adult version of Ginger Snaps folly meets The Breakfast Club - the wrong idea that they want to be...friends?
Not one of those women want another person to have to bother about besides those they arrived with: they simply desire to live in their murder-manor in peace.
Too bad for the trio that they chose the wrong damned place to call their new home.
