    29 ABY: five years after the end of the Diversity Alliance crisis and ten years after the end of the Galactic Civil War, reports reach the New Republic Advisory Council of something going on in the Outer Rim as worlds go silent and survivors report gruesome findings. Yet the senators argue over whether or not the Jedi should be trusted and the new congress couldn't care less about anything outside the Inner Rim right now, much to the chagrin of those that do care. But Borsk Fey'lya isn't fooled, something is going on that makes even he, a veteran Bothan politician who still plays by Bothan politics even as Chief of State, can no longer turn a blind eye to.

    AU of the NJO set four years later so Jacen Solo will be less an insufferable teenager and more an insufferable 20-24 year old.
