Summary
Batman had never heard his parent’s voices.
He’d never heard their words of comfort when he’d felt down. He’d never heard the songs his singing mother loved. He’d never heard his father ramble about the business he was so proud of. He’d never heard them whisper love to each other.
And he never would.
The bitter feelings sometimes felt like it was curling around his throat, stealing his air, and burning in his lungs. It hurt. It hurt so horribly bad.
