Summary
“I’m thinking maybe we should talk about love?” are the first words from Ravi Panikkar’s mouth as he settles onto the picnic blanket his friend May Grant spread out at Griffith Park on a random Tuesday.
Her beautiful little mouth opens wide to say something, but no words come out. Instead, a fly flies by during the awkward silence.
“Never mind. I promised myself I’d never fall in love when I was in chemotherapy treatment. It’s stupid,” Ravi immediately ignores what he said a second ago while looking down at the bright green grass.
“Sorry, I was just in shock. I want to hear what you have to say, Rav. I’m listening,” May puts her hand over his to comfort him.

Summary
It should have been a simple thing. It shouldn’t have required much thought, or even energy. Everyone was excitedly writing out letters, but Buck just stared at the blank page. He couldn’t decide how honest he should be or if he should make it superficial to fit the assignment that May asked for their help on. But … he didn’t like to lie. Whether to himself or in general.
Or:
May has an assignment from one of her classes to get people to write a letter to their younger selves. Focusing on being 18, when most traditional students would leave home and go to college. May understands how it could be hard for Buck, because everyone else seemed to forget or overlook that no one really knew anything about him before he turned 25, even if Maddie was around. She could only really talk about him as a little kid or show of his postcards. So Buck sits down and writes a letter to his younger self.

Summary
A podfic of Forever People by Domenika Marzione (domarzione).
“It’s completely natural to wonder what the hell you just signed up to do,” Hen says, leaning up against the closet door. “You had a good thing going. You were doing meaningful work that was easy to identify as meaningful work. And you got to do it with people who understand you and respect your intelligence and your experience and how hard you had to fight to be taken seriously.”
“I’m waiting for the ‘but’ here...”
“There is no ‘but,’” Hen replies with a shrug. “Not really. These are all completely legitimate facts and saying ‘but you have to follow your dreams’ doesn’t make them not-legitimate. It makes the choice to do it harder because of what you’d be giving up. The first step to living with that choice is acknowledging that it’s not an easy choice.”
(Missing scene for 6x01)
