Summary
Basically follows the Enthralled story line – meaning that it picks up after part 10, and the epilogue will come somewhere along the way; summary:
Gerri and Roman have an rocky kind of relationship as the sale of Waystar Royco to Lucas Mattson goes on. In the end Mattson takes over all of Waystar except ATN. Gerri, mostly because of her feelings for Roman, that includes feelings of guilt finally has had enough and takes her leave. Opting instead to go work for Lucas, hoping that Roman and her can have a chance at a real relationship. It’s still unclear if that hope was misguided.
Now to Clouds Illusions; I clearly forgot what I wanted to explorer with Enthralled, so I’m giving another try without re-writhing Enthralled, because I kinda like the way it turned out for the most part. And maybe I’ll fail miserable yet again.
As for this story; Gerri and Roman find romance again in their somewhat dishonest and chaotic history. Their worlds have been separated, but the connection lingers. How and when that will chance depends on their willingness to break free of former roles, alliances and each of their abilities to be honest and vulnerable.Series
