I saw The Abominable Bride last night in the cinema. And then I found it difficult to sleep afterwards...and this story emerged.
The story continued in my head. It is slightly AU since Sherlock not only imagined things happening in his Mind Palace, but did travel 'back' in time. So.. here is what I could imagine happened after TAB. Sherlock tries to find out about Moriarty and Mycroft tries to get his political power back. Mary is going to give birth and more secrets are revealed...a lot more. And a lot of things are not what they appear to be.

Another attempt of fixing episode 4. In fact the whole of season 4. Mary's motives are explained. John's behaviour and Mycroft's..and Eurus'.
This takes place shortly after the events at Sherrinford and Musgrave...and before we see one of the last scenes with John and Rosie in Sherlock's flat. Last chapters happens after that.
Let's just say that I take everything, that happened in season 1, 2 and 3, at face value. No extended Mind Palace here in this story. The only big Mind Palace event happens on the plane. In more than one layer.....and Sherlock had numbed himself with drugs and had intended to overdose before he landed in Zagreb.
And then I wrote:
"(But.....as my story continues, and we come closer to 'The Lost Special', I have come to believe that the only (?) sane explanation for all the inconsistencies and plotholes, could be that John is severely wounded and episode 3 is his 'Mind-bungalow'. I have just decided to make my story even more insane and strange than Mofftiss did ;-)"But we never got any 'Lost special' so now every idea is up in the air.
