Summary
I don't know what to do, Midir finally confessed, his deep voice rumbling through Dany's mind like a rock slide. The gods are gone and not remembered, the Age of Fire is long passed, the Deep is no more. Even the stars are unknown to me. There is no one to tell me what to do. I am abandoned here.
"That's alright," Dany replied, nails scratching at the blackened blood clinging to her bare legs. "I have no one else as well. We can be abandoned together."
Daenerys thought they must be a sight; the last living dragon and the last living Targaryen, both of them riddled in filth and sitting in the sand like urchins.
But it was better than being alone.
