Rook and Solas have been through a lot, and have feelings. Lots of feelings. Once he knows that Rook wants him, he is not going to stop until he has her. Whatever it takes. Fen’Harel cultists, a wannabe evanuris, and being stuck in the Fade is not going to get in the way."Rook takes a long look at him. Solas is not the bruised, weeping man who chose to bind himself to the Fade. With Morrigan’s help, Mythal had released him from her service. The inquisitor had convinced him to give up on bringing down the Veil. In the end, Morrigan had turned into a bird and flew away. The inquisitor had returned to her life with her husband, Cullen.
But Rook felt as if she never left, her heart breaking when she watched Solas turn around to enter the breach consigned to eternity alone. For the very briefest moment, she had an impulse to go with him. How could she, how could anyone do that to him?
She was a fool.
And then Solas had turned at the last moment and said, “Thank you, Rook.” before disappearing from view.
It was at that moment that Rook knew she would never be free of him.
Even if they found a way to break their blood bond, she would never be free."

Los eventos de DAI son una excusa para plantear otra historia.
Cuando empecé a escribir quería entender por qué Lavellan se enamoró como lo hizo de un hombre taaaan complicado como él.
Mientras escribía, Solas (inspirada en Harari de sapiens) me llevó a cuestionar los relatos y las verdades. Y ahora, empiezo a entender que no fue solo ella a quien tenía que comprender. Tb a él... a Thedas, a Elvhenan... a las realidades intersubjetivas que se alejan de las subjetividades individuales, pelean contra lo objetivo y entendemos, en el final, que el relato no es la verdad. Y que el más heroico (o la mas heroica) puede ser, en realidad, una mujer que peleó por existir por encima de lo que dijeron de ella.
... O tan solo un hombre prisionero de su propósito, pero que luchó por la libertad de otros, a pesar de que nunca supo conocer el sabor de su propia libertad.

Welcome Da'lens. This is my first ever fan fic. It is set during the events of Inquisition and I have inputted events into it that I basically head cannon. It starts after the events of Here lies the Abyss. Solas has already said that he loves her on the balcony, so it starts a few nights after that. Her name is Ellana, as I always went with the default name, as I thought it was beautiful. I have kept the appearance of her blank, including her Vallaslin. This is so you can picture your own Lavellan as you read it, if you wish to. But If you do want to know what my Ellana looks like to picture mine instead, she's in all my edits on my TikTok. But I'll link her image at the bottom of chapter one. Clan Lavellan is also a dominant part of this fic, as I feel they deserve more attention and I wanted to bring them all to life, including the war table missions. This story goes right through to Trespasser events, and then follows on after. And I will eventually start a second fic set during the events of Veilguard, but with narrative changed. You will also notice my writing improves vastly as chapters go on, the chapters also get longer too.
