Summary
You have heard how a simple Dalish woman from Clan Lavellan became Herald of Andraste, then the Inquisitor. She defeated Corypheus and talked down her lover, the Dreadwolf, who would have destroyed the future to bring the past back. Everyone in Thedas has told this story; it has been changed to suit the people's narrative, but a true storyteller would look between the pages and see the truth.
But there is one story the people of Thedas have not heard, not even from the world-renowned writer Varric Tethras, who chased stories far and wide and died trying to finish one final tale.
It tells how the Dreadwolf and the Inquisitor first met long before the Inquisition started.
It began in ancient Arlathan, where a group of powerful mages called the Evanuris ruled the elven people, where in June’s palace, he did what is considered forbidden. With the help of Falon’Din, his eldest brother, they summoned a spirit from the fade and granted her a body.
What June did not know was that this spirit would witness nightmares beyond her imagination. Forcing her to look for the slave rebellion and work with the one person she never would have thought of, the rebel leader. Fen’Harel. -

A retelling of the myths of the Psyche and Eros/East of the Sun and West of Moon but made Solavellan.
Ellana knew she should have felt afraid, but she reached a bloodied hand out to the snout in front of her. It bared its bright, shining teeth, but she placed her hand against the muzzle.
“Hello, Fen’harel,” she said softly, feeling the rumbling growl through her palm. Ellana offered the wolf a smile. “Are you here to devour me whole?” -

Summary
The explosion at the Conclave damages the Veil irrevocably, and breaks open Elgar'nan's prison. Solas is still weak from his slumber, but if he does not find a solution quickly, great evil will be released upon the world. Working in secret within the Inquisition, he searches for a way to seal away the Blight and defeat Elgar'nan before time runs out.
Of course he cannot afford to be distracted by the elven woman who has become known as the Herald of Andraste - this would be the worst possible time for him to fall in love.
This is an Inquisition-era AU where the explosion at the Conclave goes even worse and Solas is forced to do a lot more plotting and scheming. Featuring secrets revealed earlier than in canon; some adventures in ancient Arlathan; plus an excursion to the Black City.

Summary
The Forgotten Ones weren't always... well, forgotten. The stories were likely partially true, the tales of cruelty and hiding in the darkness. They were everything they shouldn't have been - those who caused terror, pain, despair. The woman the world would eventually know as Inquisitor Lavellan was, in fact, a Forgotten One. Somehow Isathe was not imprisoned by the Dread Wolf in the abyss with the rest of them. Whatever the reason, the former spirit of Curiosity coaxed into physical form was stuck in the aftermath of that event. She felt the moment the Veil was created and pulled her even farther from her home. Then she slept. Slept for thousands of years until she woke in a world where elves were no longer what they had been. She had to find a way to stay alive and adjust to the world that formed from the Betrayal so long ago.
Isathe was an ancient elf, a member of the Forgotten Ones and awakened years before the Breach before being pulled into the Inquisition. Hiding herself from the prying eyes of those who would condemn her for her past, the wolf that haunts her dreams and the unsettling gaze of the apostate elf who appeared to know more than he let on.

Title subject to change.
I am not an expert on the lore and will have made mistakes and / or I have taken creative liberties. I am dyslexic and have not written anything remotely creative in a decade but I am doing my best.
TLDR: Inquisition retelling with multiple POVs. Oh and Lavellan is from a strange clan that revere Fen'Harel and free slaves and such.
In the last 8 months I have: played 666 hours of DAI, an amount of Veilguard and listened to 198 hours of ASOIAF audiobooks. Then some ungodly urge told me to mash it all together into this *gestures vaguely*
Enjoy it or don't, I am not your mum.

Spoiler warning: contains full Dragon Age lore!
This story does not aim to retell the epic you already know.
The events of Dragon Age: Inquisition serve only as a frame- an excuse to unfold another tale within the tale. The tone is raw, poetic, elven… and deeply human. Every character (whether ancient god, rebel leader, or a lost elf) is written through the lens of their most intimate contradictions.
This is not a story about saving the world. It is about those who hold it together when no one else can.
About the love that remains unspoken.
About the betrayals that become necessary.
About being free, even when it hurts.Whoever steps into these pages won’t find certainties.
But if they surrender to the journey… they just might find an elven tragedy.Series

Summary
Rook has failed, and everything is in ruins. Everyone is dead, and she stands amid the destruction, knowing that nothing can be done.
Against all odds, she used to say, no matter what, she used to believe, never look back, she would repeat to herself. None of that mattered or made sense now when the future was crushed.
At the brink of release and capitulation, when she was ready to give away her life, something changed; Mythal stepped in and turned Fate itself around, sending her millennia in the past, at the gleaming gates of Ancient Arlathan.
Such heavy burden upon the shoulders of a mortal is unspeakable. How do you change the minds of gods? "Whatever it takes" were the last words of people who have died because of her. Those would be her words as well, until her last breath, no matter what...

"Look, kid, this isn't exactly how I pictured my afternoon going, but here we are." The dwarf approaches you with an easy smirk on his face.
"Y'know, you're not the first somniari I've crossed paths with. Remind me to tell you about Feynriel. Good kid, considering all the shit that happened to him." He shakes his head fondly, voice quiet.
"You don't have to trust me, he didn't at first either. But if you can get us out of here, I can help." There's a sparkle in his brown eyes that makes you desperately want to believe him.

"A fragment of a god's essence is a powerful thing."
The final battle against Elgar'nan ends in catastrophic failure but before death can claim Rook for itself, another presence comes to her aid. The fragment of Mythal that she still carries with her offers one last option to fix this mess: go back in time with her and stop Elgar'nan and the others from using the Blight in the first place.
Now Rook will have to play her part as a seer in this dangerous game, guided by the goddess now attached to her. But convincing the gods of the folly of their plans is a monumental task, especially with a leader like Elgar'nan, whose arrogance knows no bounds.

Summary
Ellana is dead. Skyhold is empty, abandoned, a hollowed-out memory of what was once the beating heart of the Inquisition. Solas lingers in its empty halls, tethered to a grief he cannot move past. He has seen her in the Fade— not a spirit, not a demon, but her. Now, in the spaces where she walked, she returns. He remembers her scent, her laughter, and her hands reaching for him. There is a strangeness encompassing Solas and Cole and Skyhold. She keeps coming back, and she keeps coming back wrong.
Ellana is haunting him and Cole cannot directly tell Solas why. All they know is that she is not at peace and neither is he.

Summary
“We will save our friend from himself, if we can.”
Inquisitor Morinne Lavellan must steel herself to confront the man who left her, took her arm, and threatens to end the world they know. Those that still believe in her are convinced she’s the only one who might be able to convince him to stop - but what if the Inquisitor’s allegiances aren’t quite as strong as they used to be?
Eager to restore his People, Solas leads an army of elves that grows stronger every day. But when it comes time to directly confront those he once called friends, some of his agents begin to question if he truly has the stomach to see this grim duty through to the end.
Then an unlikely Grey Warden enters the game after witnessing Solas’ machinations firsthand, drawing the attention of Viscount Tethras. It earns Rook the job of a lifetime: put down the Dread Wolf once and for all… no matter who gets in her way.
Eventually they must learn that sometimes, terrible choices are all that remain.
