Summary
During the zombie apocalypse, Wriothesley has been going through it, he lost his husband, was on the run after his home became too dangerous to raise his daughter. Then he meets Kaveh, a man living in the outskirts in a fenced in house with a vegetable garden, trying to survive after losing his own husband Alhaitham to the outbreak. Kaveh has graciously let Wriothesley and Sigewinne stay as long as they pull their own weight but mainly because the blond wouldn't dare turn away a parent and child away. But, the trust between these two is shaky at best as they cohabitate and try to navigate the end of the world as best as they can.
But in these trying times any sort of company is appreciated and a reprieve from the isolation that has been haunting all of them. Whatever could go wrong?

Summary
Kaveh is the head architect at a major firm, but when his wrists start cracking nonstop as he’s sketching out his designs in the office, his boss forces him to see a physical therapist. He reluctantly sets up an appointment with a doctor at a small clinic who, much to Kaveh’s chagrin, ends up being far more than he bargained for in every way possible.
“No designs, no sketching,” Alhaitham muttered exasperatedly. “Is my instruction that difficult to follow?”
Kaveh shot him a petulant glare. “Sorry, doctor - let me just call up the kids I'm building the orphanage for and tell them to get fucked because I'm too concerned about my limp ass wrists.”
Instead of getting annoyed at Kaveh's snappy tone, Alhaitham responded in equal measure, matching his snark with aggravating ease. “Sounds reasonable to me.”

“Nari, I’m going to kill that man.” Kaveh crashed into an empty chair next to Tighnari at Sumeru City Medical Center’s Emergency Department Wing D workstation. His white coat was askew around him, half caught on the chair and clearly unwashed since the Gods knew when, his hair spilled out from under his scrub cap, and dark purple eye bags decorated his face – so overall, standard for any resident. He pulled out a half-eaten granola bar from his pocket, took a massive bite, and charged forward without waiting for Tighnari’s response.
(AKA: the Sumeru crew are all doctors and Kaveh shares too many patients with Alhaitham for his own sanity)

Kaveh scrunched his nose in distaste. "Have you ever been told you should be nicer to your patients? I've been here for 3 system hours and I don't even know so much as your name."
The cauldron master pursed his lips before muttering out a gentle; "Alhaitham," and turning the page gingerly.
Previous animosity forgotten, Kaveh's face broke out into a grin. "Well, It's nice to meet you, Haitham."

“I’ve met a few smugglers,” Tighnari admits, knowing he got it right. “Does it count as you telling me if I guess it?” It's not exactly a guess - Al-Haitham did tell him - but the details don't matter.
Cyno shakes his head, shooting him a sly look that makes Tighnari’s heart beat just a little faster. “You are good, mechanic. Too good. I will see you sometime soon.”
Tighnari watches as he tugs on his helmet, his stomach churning. “Don’t make it too soon,” he teases, as Cyno hops up onto the side of the ship. His visor is up and his eyes crinkle in a smile. Tighnari finds it so cute. “Then you’re just messing with your ship to come see me.”
“You finally caught on,” the smuggler answers, swinging himself into the ship. “Take care, Tighnari. If I haven’t been arrested, I will visit you.”
In which Tighnari is a mechanic, living on a micro planet with two moons and Cyno is a smuggler with an old ship, in desperate need of repair.
