Summary
Dolores, torn from 2025, finds herself in the sultry menace of 1920s New Orleans. She knows the dark future of Alastor—the charming radio host who hides a taste for orchestrated murder. Drawn to her instantly, Alastor sees Dolores as his perfect prey.
Her only refuge is Husk, a gruff bartender who becomes her protector. To stop Alastor’s growing madness, Dolores joins a dangerous plot to expose him—but it collapses, leaving Husk framed and imprisoned. To save him, Dolores is forced into Alastor’s home as his unwilling nurse and captive, battling his manipulative cruelty while struggling to keep her sanity and her soul intact.
