    Summary

Once it becomes clear that the White Witch is gone but that the Duchy of Galma will not get to rule Narnia, Magnis, Duke of Galma begins his strategy to do just that. Set in the early years of the Golden Age.

I am indebted to C S Lewis for his subcreation of Narnia and surrounding lands and characters. I make no money from the posting of this story. I have written and posted it purely for my own and other people's entertainment.

“We thought the Duke would have been pleased if the King’s Majesty would have married his daughter, but nothing came of that”.
“Squints, and has freckles,” said Caspian.
    “Oh, poor girl,” said Lucy.
(“The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”, Chapter 2)

From this small excerpt my story was born, the story of Ella, the daughter of the Duke of Galma.
What would have happened if the rumor about the King's indelicate comment had spread all over Narnia? What if Ella and Caspian had met again ten years later?

    Summary

"You are the Princess Shireen of House Baratheon, and you are my daughter...Now be a good queen."

When all seemed lost, Stannis’ followers found themselves in a magical land where lions, stags, and wolves talked and where a long winter was a distant memory. Two decades later, Shireen Baratheon ascends the throne of Narnia, with Devan Seaworth as her faithful Hand. She swore that she would be a good queen, and a good queen she means to be. Meanwhile, a new generation is growing and finding fulfillment and love. But the game isn't over, and plots more devious than their wildest fears are being woven.

Through flashbacks, also weaves in tales of how Stannis affected all those around him.

    Chapter 1: Prologue
Chapter 2: Shireen reflects on two decisions that changed her life, and reaches a third one.
Chapter 3: Stannis Baratheon, motivational speaker. Richard Horpe has an encounter with an old friend that does not go according to plan.
