Summary
The Warriors of Light, Havi Mori and Tiomaux Sellecerre, were two of the greatest heroes ever known to the realm... and their friend was there, too.
Vira Vanille, a young Auri girl who grew up on the docks of Limsa Lominsa, had little to her name besides spunk and optimism. In the aftermath of the Seventh Umbral Calamity, Vira struck out on her own, only to swiftly be caught up in events larger than she had thought possible. Despite her youth and naivety, she refused to sit idly by and let the Warriors of Light brave danger without a healer by their side. After all, who needed the Echo, anyway?

Summary
The old Gelmorran final rights prayers played in his mind as he awaited his death – at least he had the time to beg the gods for forgiveness, to beg to end up among his ancestors. And gods, did he need to beg after everything he'd done wrong. He didn't want to die, he didn't want his time to be cut short, not when he still had so much he wanted to do.
But his spiraling train of thought was interrupted as a hand reached into his vision, forcing him to look up to the cliff’s ledge to see him, the same damned man that had bested him.

Summary
Cel stayed quiet a moment, only shifting slightly to pull the jacket tighter around him as a gust of wind blew the cool night air through the forest. "It's been moons since I've seen the stars," he just said, still not taking his eyes off the sky.
Foulques sighed, letting all of the tension out of his body and he just looked up at the sky. There was nothing spectacular about that particular night, no shooting stars or some astrological event to his knowledge, it was simply clear enough to see the stars through the canopy of the Twelveswood. The first time he'd really looked up at them since Cel came back from the edge of them, broken and bloodied and barely breathing.

Summary
He'd barely understood what was happening when the Ragnarok landed and most of the Scions had started ushering people away from the docks and up towards the Agora, but the poorly disguised concern on their faces was enough for him to know that something was wrong. That and the blood still staining Thancred's gloves.
Foulques had pushed through the crowds of cheering and celebrating people, refusing to follow the flow up away from the docks, and that's when he saw Cel's near lifeless body being carried off the ship in Estinien's arms and he felt the world fall out beneath him.
If Estinien hadn't seen him immediately and said simply alive, Foulques likely would've burned all of Sharlayan to the ground, to hells with the Final Days being averted. They would've had a new enemy to deal with, the Star would've had him to contend with — and he'd have started with the Scions.

Summary
Peeking his head out of the tent flap, his blood turned to ice as he saw a figure slowly approaching, a lance strapped strapped across their back. For a moment, he thought it could've been Ser Estinien, but the approaching figure didn't carry themself the same. A quick glance around their camp had him seeing the Warrior of Light still up, sitting beside their dying campfire and looking up at the stars. Just as he opened his mouth to say something, to warn his friend about the approaching man, he watched as Celestaux turned his head to look right at the figure.
He was too far away to make out much, but Celestaux's genuine smile had ways of brightening any space – even in the darkness of night. Squinting further at the stranger, Alphinaud caught a glimpse of recognition and let out a deep breath.
It was that lancer Celestaux seemed acquainted with – Foulques, he thought he remembered the warrior calling him that first night in Camp Dragonhead.

Carmein discovers how things have changed, and yet remained the same in her native Ishgard. With Shiva slain, she walks into the Intercessory to meet one of her least favorite people: Powerful nobles of Ishgard. But there is one at the Lady Commander's side that is far more interesting, the First Commander, Aymeric.

Summary
Iverelle turns her head to study Ysayle. She’s no longer looking at Iverelle, and she is no longer smiling, her head instead tilted up towards the sky. Her neck is long. Her collar bones peek out through the gaps in the fabric of her robes. Why does Iverelle notice them? Umbral winds send motes of drifting aether across the sky, crackling magic deep within the clouds igniting the sky in glorious greens and beautiful blues. The light paints Ysayle’s canvas-white face in a myriad of cool tones, giving the appearance not of a woman but of something ethereal, ephemeral, something more. In the distance, a dragon patrols the sky, presumably hunting something far below. Further, there would be moogles going about their business. Further still was Sohm Al; beyond that, nothing worth mentioning. Iverelle wonders if she were to reach out and touch her, if she would fade away–a ghost, and nothing more.
(On a cold and lonely night, Ysayle reaches out to the Warrior of Light for company. Unfortunately, the Warrior of Light can't help but pick a fight where there isn't one to be found.)

Summary
They’d left Solution 9 as soon as they were able, taking the train back to Tuliyollal with Wuk Lamat. The ride was practically silent, Lamaty’i lost in her thoughts, Maashtaya dozing in and out, and Celestaux and G’raha just finding comfort in sitting pressed against each other.
He knew that adopting a child while they were still traveling, while he was still needed as the Warrior of Light – or whatever hero he was considered now – wasn’t going to be easy. Celestaux knew that they were taking risks and that it wouldn’t always be easy, but he felt an all new kind of fear when the attacks were happening while his son was in the city. Yes, Maashtaya was safe in the Backrooms with Shale, but he was close. Far too close. And Celestaux could only do so much to protect him.

Summary
The explosions echoed across the desert and immediately Gwen felt like she couldn’t breathe as a single thought screamed in her mind.
Farim.
Farim had insisted on going off with Alphinaud and Lyse and M’naago, leaving her behind with Alisaie. He’d brushed it off as her needing her rest, not wanting to bother her, but she knew it wasn’t just that. She knew that it was easier for him to go off healing people on the battlefield than it was for him to look her in the eyes.
But now he was in the middle of where the cannons were firing, in the middle of the carnage. Gwen had never been a great student in school, but she didn’t have to be, not when all the people involved were her dad’s friends, her family. She knew it’d been close, but Alphinaud and Lyse had lived through the war with Garlemald. But Farim wasn’t supposed to be there. Neither of them were.
