Summary
An outsider's pov of episodes 1 and 2.
What if, when Harrow's henchmen had kidnapped Steven, someone filed a welfare check? What if the police had opened a missing persons file to try to find him?
Focuses on the Museum employees' reactions to Steven going missing and the investigation, as two police officers pull on a loose end that never seems to end.

Summary
Going to his best friend's (you) flat after his failed first date with Dylan, Steven is distressed, upset, and feeling a bit insecure. How was he supposed to feel after learning he'd somehow missed out on five days with no leads on... how that even happens. The answer to this tragedy? Getting all cozy and wrapped up on your couch, of course. There’s only one problem: he can't remember the last time he's been praised and comforted so much- and his neurotransmitters must be all out of whack because the next thing he knows his pants are getting mysteriously tighter.

Summary
Steven ends up sharing a bed with them - Marc and Layla. Which was so nice, and so sweet of them.
And Steven loved and dreaded it every night
Their bodies were pressed up hot and close to him, smelling so alluringly like themselves, their hands around him, their skin against his skin. Steven wanted them so badly and COULD NOT let them find out that he did.

Jake is totally fine. He's totally not lonely. And he totally doesn't make friends with Steven's coworker- the one who got ghosted because of them- by accident.
He definitely didn't make friends with her while out as Moon Knight.Fuck why did he have to get attached.

Summary
Marc was at the gallery with an agenda. Because Steven was quiet. Had been for days, on the tail end of a bad week he refused to elaborate on, and it was actually sort of stressing Marc out. Steven was never quiet. Steven would talk your ear off if you gave him a chance. So Marc was here because yeah, they’d heavily implied when they let Steven go that he shouldn’t come back—
But they’d never said anything at all about Marc.
So now here he was, voluntarily spending time in an art gallery of all things, in the hopes of cheering Steven up.
Featuring! Encounters of the Donna and Dylan kind.

Summary
Jake wished that he didn’t drink the water now. He adjusted his grip, slipping two fingers into the cold liquid, trying to keep himself steady in the chair. There was a light sting as the water touched the cuts against his skin.
“I am going to get out of here,” Jake promised, a statement he usually made to the doctor.
“That’s the goal I would like for all of my patients,” Dr. Harrow said, a statement he usually made in response.
Or: The system has an extended stay in the Duat.

okay so i got bored. and umm. well this idea was floating around in my head for one whole day, and im gonna write about it. imma be honest its the first fic idea i had that wasnt crossover or time travel.
The events happen in the show as normal, but also Dylan is there because steven panicked and told dylan he was kidnapped by a cult since he woke up infront of the castle.
updates every day since i have 5 other chapters pre written
or every other hour if im impatient.

Summary
“I don’t care,” he mumbled.
“I care.” Marc’s voice was softer then, and Steven blinked his eyes open. When he glanced up, he saw how sympathetic he looked. “I really fuckin’ care.”
“I know you do.” Steven sighed, feeling some of his resolve crumble.
“So why won’t you just talk to me about it?”
He grabbed one of the dry towels off the rack. His voice was muffled as he harshly rubbed it over his face. “It’s not that simple, mate.”
Or: Steven isn't adjusting well after Cairo, Marc just wants to help, and there's something else lurking in the shadows, waiting to take shotgun.

Summary
Marc ducks his head down. He doesn’t look back up before he’s doing a slow turn. The two Gus’ are bobbing up around in the tank, all fins accounted for, Marc takes a pinch of the flakes on the side and sprinkles them into the water. He’s never been a huge lover of goldfish but he will admit that watching their fat little mouths open and close around soggy flakes was kind of entertaining.
He moves around the tank and slowly makes his way to the mirror beside the bed. He doesn’t sit down, afraid that if he did he might fold in on himself and not find the strength to undo himself to face the other man in the reflection waiting patiently for him.
He’s working his hands into knots, wringing his fingers together when Marc looks at him again.
“I told you about mom,” he says, the words seem to just materialize out of nowhere, existing there in the air. He hadn’t a speech of any sorts prepared, but his mind seemed to have no issue in churning out the words without much thought behind them. “I told you about mom and Randal and… and the whole us thing, back on the boat. Even when I’m not so great at explaining it all.”

Summary
One night during Jake’s walk to a mission, he bumps into a familiar face of a woman he’d known from the museum. Her names Dylan.
The accident curves his route the next day and then the next. Eventually it becomes his new way of getting around and Dylan’s the reason for it. Brief bump ins become small talks and before he knows it he’s fallen hard for her once again. One night, Dylan joins him on a walk.
That night Jake makes a mistake and breaks more than one heart.
