Summary
He shifted his weight, feeling the plug move inside him as he did. “Direction would be… nice.”
“You know how you bend over the plate?”

Dylan’s in his line of sight— he grabs his shoulder, squeezes it, doesn’t let go. “Hell yes Ben!”
Ben laughs, he can’t help himself. He smiles. “That was so cool.”
“Yeah?”

“Oh! Really?” Dylan grinned. “Sounded gone to me, just off the bat.”

Summary
J.P, standing in the on-deck circle, leaned on his bat, thoroughly unimpressed. He’s been trying to negotiate himself into Dylan’s spot— or at the very least, out of the nine-hole since yesterday morning, when Dan announced Ben would be making his debut.
They both knew why.
“What?” Dylan asked, flatly, as he passed. “Just bring him home, dude. Maybe I’ll let you negotiate.”
J.P snorted; he stalked off to the batter’s box.
