Summary
After being shot and taken into custody, the "phantom" lays in a guarded hospital bed, and Bobby Fulbright lays there with him, staring out through the same eyes as the two of them try to understand who they are, and what the road ahead looks like. Maybe the phantom doesn't know what regret feels like, but Bobby Fulbright does.
Later, Miles Edgeworth brings a secretive request to Phoenix Wright regarding a political matter– an attempt to make a deal with the Phantom and use his information to find out who was really pulling the strings and bring them to justice.
With Simon Blackquill and Athena Cykes assigned as their psychologists, the Phantom and Fulbright must grapple with their identity, their deeds, their future, and their love for the twisted samurai whom they betrayed.
All the while, Edgeworth and Wright find their relationship tested as they walk the narrow path between pursuing real justice, and the dark age of the law.
