Not one to back down so easy, the Surgeon has always cared for his legacy. Hidden in the shadows, creeping into the back of his mind at every waking moment, Martin Whitly wouldn't let his son go so easily. He’s just a pawn to Martin – he always has been – and now it’s time to end the game, and Malcolm’s not even sure he can bring an end to his abuser.

Martin – on the other hand – seems to have no qualms about trying to kill his son.

Malcolm’s grip on the blade is steady, the calm before the storm, as he pulls the blade out of his father’s stomach. His father collapses, gasping in pain; he’s a doctor, he knows he needs medical attention soon if he wants to make it out of here alive.
But everything between the two has always been a game of cat and mouse, manipulator and manipulated. Nothing has ever been played on an even field before, someone always has the upper hand. Except now, Malcolm isn’t blinded by naivety, of love for the man who raised him.
