He caresses her neck and moves her hair from her shoulder to take stock of her injuries, wincing when he observes the damage there. She doesn’t even bother with shame or need or want, simply gives in to absolute bliss when he gently presses his lips to her skin and whispers, “Been wanting to do that, kiss you better.”
"Tell him," she screams at herself. "Tell him the name of the cocksucker who made all those ugly, mortifying bruises. Tell him what he did to you. Tell him you didn’t get any justice. Tell him you need him to help you. Tell him how good it feels when he’s near, how safe he makes you. Tell him you want it. Oh god how you want it! Tell him, goddamnit!"
