Summary
Draco Malfoy is reassigned as Deputy Lead at the Department of Magical Law Enforcement's Misuse of Magic Task Force, a new task force led by Captain Hermione Granger which aims to some day become a Ministry Department. Captain Granger attempts to guide her merry band of misfits - including Detective Blaise Zabini, Officer Iris Wren, Officer Pip Rakepick, and administrator Madame Edna Grimble - to solve crimes by dinnertime.
The team stumbles upon a seemingly routine case involving enchanted rubber ducks illegally charmed to explode in Diagonal Alley. However, the case spirals into a sprawling conspiracy involving enchanted teapots, a mysterious criminal mastermind known only as "The Quacker,” and more than a little office romance.
