Summary
Flare, a Warden with four years of experience and not a hint of a self-preservation instinct, finally falls in battle. Only, she isn’t gone just yet, and as she watches over her body, she finds some other things aren’t truly gone yet, either.
It is an opportunity to make peace, maybe, but it is not needed. Flare has been at peace since they became a Warden. Death doesn’t change that, and neither do her memories of who she once was.
She gets the opportunity anyway.
