Summary
With mako coursing through his veins, it has become clear to Cloud that he will remain ageless as Rufus approaches his twilight years.
They have been through it all. Survived it all. Through times of war, times of hate, Meteorfall, Geostigma, and have come together to at long last for their hard-earned chance at happiness.
But time is a cruel mistress and won’t be denied. Cloud will outlive Rufus, and ultimately learn how to live without the man that had made his world safe and full of love.
Saying goodbye can be cruel, but the memories left behind can be crueler. Mistakes remembered, and mistakes yet to be made. Happiness had, happiness lost, and the struggle to find it again.
This is Cloud’s journey, and his fight to overcome his haunted heart.
