Fergus jerked forward, the ropes around his wrists straining as he fought down the temptation to rip himself free and hit the man right in his smug little face before webbing his mouth shut.

In a canon-divergent world where Fergus follows Claire through the stones and gets bitten by a radioactive spider while visiting Frank at Harvard University, Fergus is unfortunate enough to find himself held hostage by a couple of goons looking to exact revenge upon the masked vigilante known as Spider-Man. All Fergus has to do is provide them with a location and they'll let him go.
As far as they’re concerned, it's really not that complicated… if only that were true.
