Florin and Talon’s new pity hire is… interesting.
Flora decides this exactly five minutes into their impromptu expedition when Alain, who has yet to produce anything to the conversation beyond monosyllabic affirmations and noncommittal grunts, proceeds to turn on Florin apropos of anything, challenge him to a battle, and demolish his reserve team with little more than a shiny, angry Pikachu, before turning on Talon and attempting to do the same.
Talon declines, obviously. Ever the peacekeeper.
Flora half-expects her to shout, this aggressive stranger, just flip out on all of them and go ballistic and demand to fight, they way her knuckles are whitened at her sides, but she doesn’t. Instead, Alain scrubs her white hair back from her forehead with a pale hand, brows furrowed, gives a curt nod, and continues forward.
(Or: Alain and Flora's whirlwind, volatile attempts at friendship and personhood, as told through the medium of fighting a terrorist organization together.)
