Summary
“Do you know how badly I want you dead?” Bill spoke with such malice it couldn't even be considered rhetorical anymore. “Everytime I see you laughing with Stanford or touching him when you two are working I just want to set fire to every single one of your nerve endings, but I don't. You know why?” Bill gripped his hair even harder while waiting for some kind of acknowledgement, Fiddleford letting out a muffled sound of questioning before Bill replied, “Because I need your stupid hick to help with the portal, as much as I wish I didn’t.”

“Stanford, please! Look at what this portal’s doing to you- doing to us! Would you please just let me take it down? I mean you have enough research to earn millions! Hell I could even write 'em for ya!” Fiddleford exclaimed as he argued with Stanford’s back, the other tightly gripping his pen as his shoulders bunched up in agitation.
“Can’t you see I’m trying to work?” Came the cold response, causing Fiddleford to flinch at the sudden harshness of his tone.
“You mean overwork! Stanford you’ve been down here for three days now-!”
“If you’re not here to work on the portal then I kindly ask you leave.”
Fiddleford’s breath caught in his throat as his eyes widened behind his thin frames, soon melting into frustration as he huffed out, “Fine! But don’t think I ain’t done botherin’ you, Stanford. I’m shutting this whole thing down whether you like it or not.” Fiddleford whipped around and stormed towards the elevator, muttering under his breath, “Might even mean I’ll get to watch my son grow up.”
Or: Fiddleford is sick of Stanford's constant work on the portal and decides it's time to do something about it.

Summary
Fiddleford McGucket and Stanford Pines get into a heated (one-sided) argument.
Fiddleford cusses like a country boy because it's funny and I wanted to.
Tags and description will change as I go along, as I don't have a coherent idea for this story right now.
Absolutely no plot, I just wanted to write something heartbreaking. Feel free to interpret it however you'd like, my favorite comment/interpretation will likely get written as a follow up chapter.

“Actually, I don’t know if I do anymore. You seem to be pretty certain you've done a good enough job of it, so read them out! Show me exactly every place Fordsy went wrong and we can discuss it together.” Bill’s voice lacked that ever-present playful twinge he usually held, which sent a shiver down Fiddleford’s spine, acutely aware of how close Bill had leaned in.
With Stanford’s body, Bill shoved the chair forward all the way, Fiddleford’s stomach now pressed uncomfortably against the wood as he was forced to take shallow breaths, “Show me right now how much better you are than Sixer!”
