    Summary

After the Skip Button ending, the Narrator is reset with fragmented memories, a memory wipe in-progress, and a terror of being alone. He makes the excellent life decision to repress as much as possible and get on with business as usual, with the concession of seeing Stanley in-person.

    --

“The Story,” says the Narrator, although he’s still not letting go. “We must get back to it.” His arms don’t seem to be moving.

“Yeah, no,” says Stanley, drawing away a little in his embrace, regarding him critically at the length of his arm.

    Summary

Stanley is suddenly sentient in the The Stanley Parable™.
The narrator does not notice at first and is convinced that the player is still controlling him.
Surely, nothing could go wrong when Stanley confronts the british voice.

    Summary

The sirens had stopped, and even the Narrator fell quiet at the sudden change in course.

In a scripted story, the protagonist isn't supposed to have actual choice (though perhaps this story wasn't as scripted as the Narrator had once assumed).

    Summary

There was a feeling of liberation in the air, like no one could ever hold them down. 428 could tell the Narrator felt it too. There wouldn’t be anyone telling them what to do anymore, no signs, no arrows, no instructions. Just 428 and the Narrator, forging their own path forward. They were free. This was exactly the way, right now, that things were meant to happen.

    Summary

The Stanley Parable Demo had fallen apart, and they were the ones left to pick up the pieces.

The Narrator sounds so happy, and 428 doesn’t have the heart to tell him that what he’s remembering never happened. They never reached a catwalk, never found an elevator. Never escaped. There were no trees, no wildlife, no sun. Only the cold, concrete walls of the office, a dull grey that they had grown sick of seeing through every doorway, and blinking red lights, constant and neverending.
