Summary
Really, Trent hoped Ted would like the sundress, but his stunned, silent reaction is more than he could have ever anticipated, and it settles something deep inside of him that Ted is this intoxicated by him as he moves to fold down beside him, long legs extended in front of him on the blanket, crossing them at the ankles.
Ted studies him, lips parted, for a long, long moment before Trent finally asks, “Are you quite alright, Ted?”
He’s blushing so furiously his face has gone a nearly worrying shade of red. Ted blinks at his chest— his cleavage— for a moment before his eyes flick up to meet Trent’s, and he seems to take a calibrating second to process Trent’s question before he can actually understand he’s being asked anything at all.
“I— Whew,” Ted says, a bit breathless, and Trent’s heart skips a beat. Quite literally, it skips a beat. The things Ted Lasso does to him. “That— That is some dress you got on there, Trent, honey.”
or: trent wears a sundress to his picnic lunch date in the park with ted. ted responds the only way he thinks is reasonable: by having him for dessert.

Summary
And Trent’s not a mess! He’s not. He’s got his life entirely together. He chose to reveal his source and give up his position with The Independent. He chose to start chasing book authorship as his new branch of his career tree. He chose his flat, and his car, and his life, down to the brands of tea he buys and the sorts of people he spends time with and the sheet sets he puts on his and Beatrice’s beds. He’s an adult man, for Christ’s sake.
Of course, he’s got his life together. Everything is under his control, and it’s all fine. It’s entirely, completely, fully fine.
Taking one last steadying breath, Trent opens his eyes and looks over the line of seven tests on the counter: the first he took a few hours ago, and the six he just took since.
Each and every last one of them says he’s pregnant.
Some have plus signs, some have two lines, some simply have the word pregnant. All of them may as well come together to form a little sign reading, Congratulations, Trent! You did it! You’ve finally made a goddamn bloody mess out of everything! Just wait until you have to tell Ted!
Trent’s stomach turns for more reasons than one.

Summary
Trent pushes himself into standing in one smooth motion, says, “Trent Crimm, The Independent,” in that voice that always gets Ted hard, and has since the first time he heard it, unruffled and polished and his.
“Pleasure to see you again, Trent Crimm,” Ted replies, unable to stop his smile from creeping onto his face as he puzzles this out. “What can I do for you?”
“My sources have indicated that you have a specific sexual fantasy about, in your words, ‘getting frisky in the workplace,’” Trent says. He acts like he’s reading that off his notes; Ted wouldn’t put it past him to have actually written that down, and his face creeps with warm heat, flushing hot. It would be very in line with who he is as a person to have jotted that confession down the second Ted let it slip. “Would you care to comment?”
or: trent decides to fulfill one of ted's sexual fantasies. neither of them will be able to view the press room the same way after.

Summary
“Well, Ted, I hope you’ve got something special up your sleeve,” Rupert began, a cloying smile pursing his lips, “because let’s face it, you need another loss like a bullet in the head.” He laughed.
Ted flinched, hard. It wasn’t lost on either Rupert, who grinned nastily, or Trent whose wide eyes began to track Ted’s movements. Trent watched Ted move his hands, which had begun to shake, into his lap.
Ted swallowed. His ears were ringing and try as he might to swallow back or breathe past his panic, he felt like an animal scooped up and trapped in a net. He shoved his chair back and stood up slurring what was supposed to be “I have to go to the bathroom,” but came more like “ahtogobroom”.

Summary
Trent feels the balance shift on his couch as Ted sits on the edge of the cushion next to his waist, and then the movement of air in the moment before Ted’s fingers lightly stroke along Trent’s temple, pulling his sweat-damp hair back from his face. “You’re so pale.”
“Likely because there’s no blood left in my body,” Trent grumbles into the pillow. He twists his head again, looking up at Ted above him. Ted just keeps stroking his hair, heedless of how gross he must feel; Trent sighs, relaxing into his touch. “Hello.”
“Hi, there.” Ted smiles down at him, a small and warm thing. “I’m sorry you’re feeling so awful, honey. But, hey, I’m here to help. What can I do for you?”
“Kill me,” Trent replies, cheek smushed to his pillow.
“That’ll be my last resort,” Ted replies. “And we’ll go down together. Like Bonnie and Clyde.” He presses the back of his hand to Trent’s forehead. “Lemme see here.”
or: trent catches a nasty cold and gets his period all at once, and decides to take the day off work. ted comes over as soon as he can, determined to make him feel better.

Summary
“You,” Trent grits out, “are going to hell, Ted Lasso.”
“I,” Ted replies, smiling, “will see you there, Trent Crimm.”
He leans in, gives him a kiss, and Trent tries to hold onto his righteous frustration, but it’s impossible. All he wants is Ted; he dissolves into him accordingly, melting right into his mouth, and Ted dirties their kiss without hesitation, his tongue slipping along Trent’s as his hands glide around to his back. His fingertips dig in, so hard Trent can start to feel the bite of his nails even through his shirt.
As quickly as Ted pushed in, he pulls away. Trent’s only vindication is the flush on his cheeks, a small reminder that Ted is just as affected by this as Trent is.
Well—
Maybe not just as affected yet, but. Then again, Trent is the only one of the two of them with a vibrator currently shoved up his ass. So.

The quick and dirty sequel to oops, there goes my shirt. With love and dedication to Missy Elliot and Tweet, who probably never expected to be referenced in a Ted Lasso fan fiction <3

Summary
Ted’s lips brush their cheek when he tells them, “You know why else I haven’t been able to take my eyes off you all day?”
“Because you’re horny and lack discipline?” Trent asks, barely able to keep their wits about them with Ted holding them this close.
Ted laughs against their skin, a warm huff of a sound. “Well, yeah, that is a real big part of it.” His kisses trail down to Trent’s throat again; if they didn’t know better, they’d say his path was aimless. They know Ted too well, though, than to believe he’s without clear and direct intent. “The bigger part of it’s you, though, y’know.”
“Is it?”
“It is,” Ted replies, hot against their throat. “You make me feel… God. Don’t even think I have a good word for it.”
“Is it…” Trent asks, breathless, and Ted bites the soft, sensitive skin beneath their jawline, then runs his tongue over the mark, making them go all wobbly. “Christ.”
“Nope,” Ted says into their skin, smiling, warm and wild. “That ain’t it.”
or: ted has been giving trent a specific sort of look all day. once they're back at their hotel, he finally does something about it.

Summary
“Forgive me my incredulity,” Trent replies, unable to stop staring at him. “I’ve just— I’ve been thinking about you rather intensely for quite a long time, now. It nearly feels like I’m dreaming right now.”
“Oh, well, maybe we’re in the same dream,” Ted says. “Hey, wanna see if we can fly?”
“Maybe later.” Trent chances turning closer into Ted, and he notices— can’t do anything except notice— when Ted’s eyes flick down to Trent’s lips, then back up, meeting his eyes again.
“Hey,” Ted says, and Trent’s heart is rabbiting, and his chest is tight, and he can hardly believe this, and still— he trusts Ted, and he’s just drunk enough to just keep going with this, in public, like nothing bad could possibly happen. “You are… so, so pretty.”
“Ted—”
“Would it be alright if I kissed you right now?” Ted asks him, and Trent’s breath catches.
or: ted and trent meet up to discuss trent's book, and end up together in a pub bathroom before the end of the night.
