Summary
It had been months since he lost his RIO, but he was still not over it. Maverick had self esteem issues and ended up settling for the first person who hinted at wanting him. Little did he know, there was more to his new partner than meets the eye, and not in a good way.
(This work was somewhat inspired by another fic I read called "Flying Punches" by Oceannaya, so feel free to give that one a read if you like this kind of stuff<3)
