Only God should have the power to be in all places at all times.
Those are the words Beatrice’s adoptive mother and head of the ancient society known as the Paladins, created in mediaeval times to eradicate Jumpers, Suzanne Cox, has told her her whole life.
But what are Jumpers?
To put it in her adoptive mother’s words. They’re abominations. Sinful creatures who can teleport to any place there mind can remember. They warp the space around them to create wormholes from one location to another called 'jumpscars'. They can teleport people, cars, and buildings, though the latter of those normally results in a Jumper's death. Something Beatrice has become adept at making Jumpers be over her life.
And the next Jumper, Ava, in Beatrice’s sights is no different.

Summary
Set immediately after the events of the movie. After being trapped in the pylon, Griffin is "rescued" by a group of Paladins and taken to one of their headquarter buildings. There, he is imprisoned and observed as part of their research program. While imprisoned, Griffin can't help but notice something unusual about the Paladin tasked with his observation; she seems almost kind, and she seems to put more effort into his care than any ordinary Paladin would. As Griffin spends more time with the young woman, a friendship of sorts grows between them - and maybe something more. But can a Jumper and a Paladin ever be together?
A rewrite of my first finished fanfiction written ten years ago, told from Griffin's POV.

Millie and David aren't together ( no hard feelings) but have become the bestest of friends.
When Griffin is out getting some take-away , Millie convinces David to join her in some snooping around.
