Summary
Super Sonic and Super Silver purge the Metal Virus out of the world and into the Sun. The Warp Topaz can't handle all the power it's been using, and blows a hole in the sky. Super Sonic is sucked through it.
When he wakes up in the Sol Dimension with no idea of who he is, Blaze uses the Sol Emeralds to reawaken his memories....it doesn't work.
Thankfully, one other hedgehog has gone through something similar in his past. And he so happens to feel indebted to Sonic right now.
