Summary
He swallowed. He tried speaking, but his mouth just opened like a fish and nothing dared to exit. Raphael’s throat felt raw. Not the pleasant kind of raw he would have after a long night with Haarlep, rather a rawness he hadn’t felt since deep in his youth.
Worry. Worry was what was in their stomach, they recognized. This was out of character. They were used to explosive anger, unexplained anger, shouting and screaming, but pure silence was not even a thought within their mind when thinking of their master. Was it anger? Or was it sadness? Fear. But what was there to be afraid of? What caused this fear? What would stem from it?

Raphael has an autistic shutdown and Haarlep is trying their best to help him.

Summary
Getting murdered in his own home wasn’t supposed to be a part of Raphael’s grand plan on becoming the next Supreme Archdevil of Baator. However, instead of meeting his demise in the maw of Mephistopheles, Raphael was instead made to face an ethical dilemma that had stumped many philosophers of moral and ethics.

Raphael is made to deal with the Trolley Problem as a conductor of the BTC (Baldur’s Gate Transit Commission).

Example passage:
“This is a nightmare!”
“Technically, it is a privately funded transit system that should have been publicly funded. But yeah, it is a nightmare.”

Summary
Haarlep wants to try something new, and, of course, Raphael is being a bit of a brat.
“How was that, love?
The question makes him open his eyes again. Raphael blinks. Then blinks again. How does he respond? What does Haarlep want to hear?
“It was fine.”

Summary
They're utterly bored. Maybe they could get a few more moments of rest in. Or… they could play a little game.
It's alright if Raphael wants to pretend he doesn't need them until the end of the day. Haarlep knows exactly how to get his brat’s attention.

Summary
“I want the crown,” he rasped, voice gravel-thick and ragged from pain and disuse.
She didn’t falter, though the sheer intensity of his gaze pinned her in place, pulling her violently back into sharp, unforgiving clarity. Those ember-like eyes, bloodshot and dark, glared up at her with something raw. Fury, hatred, calculation, maybe all three.
The demand was no surprise. Tav had known it would come. Would have been more of a surprise if it hadn’t.
So her answer was immediate, sharp and final.
“No.”His expression shifted, a flicker of true, biting irritation breaking through. His lips curled in a familiar sneer, and though battered and broken, the infernal arrogance slid back into place like a mask he refused to let slip for long.
“Then there won’t be a signature of mine, I’m afraid,” Raphael stated coldly, the remnants of his battered pride clinging to those words like a drowning man to driftwood.
Tav almost laughed, the sheer absurdity of it. As if he still held the bargaining chip.
A sharp, humorless snicker slipped past her lips.
“Then I’ll strike you down, I’m afraid.
Again.”That landed.

Summary
!Spoilers for the game up until chapter 5!
The path ahead has to be carved out with occasional violence, but whenever there is a possibility of saving a life, Tav will not hesitate to spare or alter the course of action to save it. When the devil declines a new deal, she is forced to face off against him. But she cannot forgive herself for banishing Raphael back to Cania, where his abusive father is very keen to remind him just how pathetic of an insect he is. The realization of having her life saved by Raphael strengthens her resolve and she ventures to the Eighth layer of Hells. Soon after, Raphael finds himself banished from Hells and bound to a mortal.
It is essentially a character study of my favorite bastard from Baldur's Gate 3, while shedding light onto his more mortal side - the one he so desperately tries to reject. It is my headcanon mixed with canon stuff. Enjoy!
